How do I start a new survey?
Open the app, tap the + button on the home screen, and follow the guided wizard. It will walk you through property details, heating system, and room scanning.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. Heatworx works fully offline. Your surveys are stored locally on your device and sync to the cloud when you're back online.
What calculation method does Heatworx use?
You choose per survey: the CIBSE Domestic Heating Design Guide (2026) method or the MCS heat pump method (MIS 3005-D / BS EN 12831-1). Both run on the same measured survey and you can switch between them. See the guide: CIBSE vs MCS — choosing a calculation method.
What iPhone do I need?
Heatworx requires iOS 17.5 or later. For LiDAR room scanning, you'll need an iPhone 12 Pro or newer (any Pro model). Manual room entry works on all supported iPhones.
